Everyone’s idea of fun may be a little different. For one person, it’s board games at home. For another it may be skydiving. And while there can be some daylight between what we refer to as a fun wallpaper, the idea is the roughly the same. Fun wallpaper refers to designs that are colorful, playful and lively. For some, fun may not be what you want in every room. We’ll discuss some of the best places for a fun wallpaper and discuss some of the elements that go into making a fun design.

Fun Stripe & Geometric Wallpapers
While I’m sure someone out there will disagree, when we think of fun wallpaper, we generally aren’t thinking about faux materials like brick, wood paneling, marble or tile-looking wallpapers. Stripes and geometric wallpaper designs are also generally out. I say “generally” because in some instances, a colorful geometric or colorful stripe wallpaper can add a fun element to a room. A colorful stripe that is paired with other elements or where the stripes aren’t so perfect can add just the right amount of wonk to be a quirky fun wallpaper addition. Likewise, a geometric wallpaper with interesting shapes and color can be just the thing to liven up a room. Let’s take a look at some fun stripe and geometric wallpaper designs.
Maximalist Colorful Fun Wallpaper
When many people describe a fun wallpaper, color is almost always a major component. And if you have maximalist taste, then the brighter, the bolder and the more colorful the better. Where to put a fun wallpaper
As with most types of fun, it is often best kept within specific parameters. We all know that a night out eventually needs to come to an end. Even when watching a movie, there is a point at which the fun movie can go on too long. The same idea applies to wallpaper. So what are the best places to put a fun wallpaper?
Powder rooms and bathrooms are often the best places to experiment with a fun wallpaper because they are walled off from the rest of the home. You can do things in these spaces that can’t be seen from the entryway, the living room or any other common area. You can be as wild as you want with your decor in these spaces so don’t hold back.

Bedrooms are also good spots to inject some wild fun, but the adult bedroom where you’re looking to relax and unwind may not be ideal. But a kids bedroom or playroom is the perfect place where you can also let your child’s imagination run wild without it cramping your style in the rest of the home. Kids wallpapers often feature fun, cheeky elements that keep the environments happy. It’s also a great spot to foster your child’s individuality.

Finally, when you’re looking for a spot for a fun wallpaper, the element of surprise is always a welcomed sight. While living rooms and dining rooms are unpopular places for anything too wild, the kitchen is often an exception. It can bring a little life to the family common area. If not the kitchen, then the pantry or the closet can be great spots that will cause you to break a smile every time you open the door. These spots become little secrets of the home that contain tiny elements of pure joy.

When it comes to fun wallpaper, let your imagination be your guide. There are all sorts of designs with playful elements in various styles.
