Here’s a truth you won’t hear from every designer: there is no way you will love your space forever. Think about it—if 25-year-old you designed your home for 45-year-old you, it’d probably include a beer pong table instead of a place to stash the kids’ stuff. Design, function and taste evolves as you do. Our job is to create spaces you’ll love for right now, while still maintaining a level of design that will either be passed along to the next homeowner or simply need a refresh because it’s 20 years old .
