Fort Interiors

Ashley Sheping is the founder of Fort Interiors, a full-service interior design studio specializing in residential design. A Connecticut native, she received a degree in art
and education from The University of Vermont but her career in interiors began on the
West Coast where she was a daily contributor and photographer for the popular online
publication, Apartment Therapy. From there she continued her studies in Interior Design
in Portland, Oregon and soon after relocated to Laguna Beach to design luxury homes and yachts along the coast and overseas. After 8 years out West, she found herself back where she started; in Connecticut as a senior designer for a prominent Greenwich based firm.

Here she developed lasting relationships with the industry’s leading vendors, architects and builders, providing the groundwork for successful ground up projects to smaller styling and staging needs.

For over a decade Ashley has been creating beautiful homes from classic to modern.
Though comfortable working with a variety of styles, a natural aesthetic, inspired from her time spent on both coasts is commonly seen in her designs. She believes that listening to a client’s interests and understanding how they live is most important. From there she brings her expertise to design spaces layered with materials that are truly one of a kind.
