Mira Jean Designs is the creation of artist & lead designer Kate Hougen. Work has been featured in Traditional Home, Cottages & Bungalows, Arlington Magazine’s Best of Arlington Award Winner for Wallpaper – Editor’s Pick, on a Business of Design Podcast Interview.

​As a child, Kate grew up overseas and lived in Africa and the Middle East. It was here her love of textiles and bold colors began. In 2015, Kate launched her first Mira Jean Designs textile collection. A few years later, she added wallpaper to the line. In 2018, she began offering interior design and decorating services. Kate’s work is colorful, fresh and fun. Interior spaces blend the right mix of practical, beautiful and functional.
