The Bellbird is endemic to New Zealand and is easily recognizable by its song, which Captain Cook once described as sounding ‘like small bells exquisitely tuned’. The artist fashioned this pattern after encountering Bellbirds in the Able Tasman National Park. She had gone on four day hike where she was delighted by the company of these delicate birds. This design sought to bring the beauty of nature inside and incorporate it into our homes and daily lives. The wallpaper comes in an array of organic color scheme which enhances the naturalism of the artist’s depiction of flowers and leaves.
