The Nyarntiny Collection from Emro Designs has been lovingly crafted by Aboriginal artist Kamilya Lowana White. Nyarntiny is a Kija word meaning Gum Tree, and forms Kamilya’s inaugural painting series, which is influenced by and pays tribute to her late grandfather, Bill Gregory (Pop). Each piece in the Nyarntiny collection is inspired by the beauty of the gum trees markings and layers. To Kamilya, they represent the different stages of life, and the pathways and journeys we take throughout. They speak for all moments – from joyful times to sombre days, and absolutely everything in between.
